The Big Green Egg Demo Day at Kernow Fires, Cornwall, is an exciting cooking demonstration that showcases the Big Green Egg and what you can do with it! We'll have several "eggheads" demonstrating everything from heat control to fire starting techniques, baking, grilling, smoking, and all the things in-between.
If you have heard about the Big Green Egg but don't have one, or want to improve your outdoor cooking all year round this will be a great day for you.

What makes the Big Green Egg so special?

Advantages of the Big Green Egg:
The ovoid shape and the thick clay walls—both of which retain heat and moisture in a way that other grills don’t. The thick felt seal between the lid and body helps hold in moisture, too.
Rapid heat control. The venting (a patented draft door and airflow control system) allows you to go from 225 degrees for smoking to a searing 700 degrees for direct grilling in a matter of minutes.
Versatility: The Big Green Egg truly functions as both a smoker and a grill, and it tackles both tasks well. Unlike many grills, you keep the lid closed when direct grilling, which keeps the smoke and fire flavours close to the meat.
Heat efficiency: thanks to those thick ceramic walls, once you get the Egg up to temperature, it holds the heat—even in an Alaskan winter.
Fuel efficiency: properly regulated, a single 5 pound load of charcoal will burn as long as 18 hours.
