The story behind the cooker
Everhot cookers were invented over 40 years ago in Dursley in the heart of the Cotswolds. Based at a water mill the owner Osman Goring, wanted to go off grid and installed a 25kw water turbine to power the site and his home. Originally having a solid fuel AGA he wanted a cooker that provided constant background heat and cooked using indirect heat. He couldn't find a suitable cooker on the market so set to work and invented the Everhot.
Today
All Everhot cookers are designed to run on a low input power source and simply plug in to a 13amp socket (two if you opt for an induction hob). This environmentally kind approach means all Everhot cookers work beautifully with renewable electricity sources such as solar power and are the most efficient heat storage cooker on sale to this day!.
All Everhot cookers are handmade in Britain, three miles from the original mill. Everhots passion for the environment, efficiency and engineering has resulted in them becoming a carbon negative company.
