Kernow Fires hosts regular Everhot Demo Mornings in our showroom in Wadebridge. These events are for those interested in purchasing an Everhot and would like to find out more about cooking and living with Everhot. Hosted regularly throughout the year, contact Kernow Fires to book a place on the next demo.
The demo, hosted by our own professional Cornish chef, runs through all the features and benefits of an Everhot cooker including, baking, grilling, roasting, slow baking, steaming and much more along with handy tips.
The demo normally lasts between 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 hours, guests are given details about pricing, any offers available and delivery times and there is chance after the demo to discuss any points you may have with both our chef and the Everhot rep, both of whom are very knowledgable.
To book in for the next demo event please give us call.
A review of our Everhot Demo from an attendee who was interested in changing her Aga over for an Everhot
Interested in changing my Aga for an Everhot and having seen an advert for a cookery demonstration of one, I decided to go along to Kernow Fires Everhot Demo see for myself the benefits.
There was a flavour of confidence in the air as David began pulling trays of food from the Everhot Oven he was demonstrating. It all started with a full English (bar the eggs). Effortless and fuss free, 30 mins and all ready to feed at least a dozen hungry people.
We had been greeted with tea and coffee and a slice of the Lemon Drizzle he had made before we all arrived, light and fluffy… Watch out Mary and Paul.
While there we witnessed the bread – crispy and light with ‘good flake’, a quiche – so smoothly created emptying packs of rocket, previously cooked onions and mushrooms, cream cheese and eggs – incidentally baked to perfection!
2 steaks were cooked in a griddle pan. He then beat ingredients for a swiss roll, placed in a lined baking tray and baked it. Filling it with lemon curd, mandarin segments and fresh cream beaten, he rolled it up – making it look easy…. Any shop would welcome this to demonstrate its wares.
Just thrown in at the end, brownies, created with a difference – half cream cheese and half cream for a ‘gooeier’ texture (one to remember next time I make them).
Meanwhile during the display of the fabulous Everhot – 2 chickens roasted in the simmer oven alongside meringues, vegetables were started on the induction plate, drained completely and placed into the simmer oven to steam effortlessly to be approved of by any healthy eating guru. Rice was started on the boiling plate and placed in the simmer over to finish cooking.
We were offered tasters of everything – no complaints at all……. It was wiped down with a damp cloth to clean it before putting lids down.
All of the above were demonstrated clearly, explained and tantalising viewers to ‘have their own’ to prove ‘we can all do this too’. Happy days, all that remains is to convince my husband!
