Kelly has been with us for the last 6 years, handling our marketing, website and social media. Throughout this time she has cared for her husbands parents both of whom suffer from Dementia. Having experienced first hand caring for someone with Dementia we understand the pressures both emotionally and practically.
She stumbled across Dementia Revolution, a charity set up for a single year only, funding over 700 experts in 6 bases across the UK, all focused on finding a cure for dementia, when watching the London Marathon on TV. So she decided to run the London Marathon and dedicate a large proportion of her time to highlighting the charity and the effects of Dementia on families, particularly in Cornwall.
THis Sunday she is holding a fundraising family bike ride from Bridge Bike Hire in Wadebridge to Padstow and back, with reduced bike hire of £10 per adult bike, £5 per child bike with all proceeds going to Dementia Revolution, followed by a few drinks, BBQ and music in Wadebridge. Families are welcome to join in on the day, those bring their own bikes will be aked for a donation. Kernow Fires will be there in force to support and help raise money.
We hope to see you there.
