Location: Based in the Wadebridge Showroom - covering the whole of Cornwall

Salary: £19,000.00 - £25,000.00 per year

We are looking for an exceptional candidate, with strong design skills and a keen eye for detail. Primary role will be to provide back up to the sales team by producing drawings with various levels of detail, from notes and diagrams provided by surveyors and clients.

We are offering the unique opportunity to join our exciting growing fireplace and outdoor living business. You will be working alongside our Head Designer and Surveyor who will act as mentor and trainer. Together you will work to build this part of the business, offering exceptional customer service to our clients, reflecting the quality of our products and service. A key bridge between customer expectations and the installation.

You may be asked to visit site, liase with clients and design from scratch as you become more familiar with our products. There is very much room for development within this role as this side of the business is fast growing.

You must have good design and computer skills. Take instruction well and be keen to learn from our experienced team. We are happy to put the time into the right person to ensure they have the technical ability to develop this role.

Key aspects of the role include:

Create 2D and 3D designs using Sketch Up or CAD ( currently although new programs may be introduced over time) Full training will be given on both systems.
Create detailed designs from information provided from the Lead Designer and Surveyors, clients via telephone or in person and emailed information

You may also be required to:

Occasionally visit homes and building sites to undertake surveys and check dimensions/design proposals
Deal directly with clients within the showroom to guide them through how products can be used

Essential Skills/ knowledge and experience:

Strong design skills to help the client achieve their goal
Quick at learning technical details
Enjoyment of learning from others and motivated to develop own skills
Experienced in Sketch Up or CAD design or a proven interest in developing these skills
Ability to work efficiently unsupervised
Attention to detail is essential
Desire to see a design through from paper to completion
